WELCOME T0 OPERA IN A DAYS BAY GARDEN
I am on a rather wonderful 2 year operatic odyssey in Berlin.
There won’t be any operas from me in Days Bay this summer, however I do intend to resume producing operas in New Zealand, on my return.
I began my Berlin experience with an internship to Komische Oper, on a rather wonderful new production of Korngold’s Die Tote Stadt directed by Robert Carsen. Riding my bike home after evening rehearsals, operas or concerts, could be my definition of bliss!
I received a link today to a glorious homage to our Days Bay Opera productions.”Days Bay-Ben Fagan feat.NZ Youth Choir ” recorded last week in the middle of the Pacific….so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to…..
